About Noteworthy
Noteworthy Education was created from the blend of my two passions, singing and biomechanics. As an undergraduate vocal performance major, most of what I learned in the studio made complete sense! What I didn't understand remained a mystery until I became a physical therapist years later. To be honest, some concepts took even longer to fully grasp. Better late than never!

Many singers, instrumentalists, and other performing artists would be able to learn more efficiently with a good foundation of anatomy and physiology knowledge. Noteworthy Education was created to provide artists with the information that I had to learn over decades, in hopes that they can learn, communicate, and express their passion with greater ease.

Personal History
After years of playing piano and taking voice lessons, I received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. For a few years I performed semi-professionally and taught voice and piano lessons, then decided to become a physical therapist to help others rehabilitate from injury.

I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Initially wanting to focus on the rehabilitation of performing artists, my interest in orthopedics grew and I specialized in the treatment of the temporomandibular joint. I am currently on faculty for a clinical residency program and have enjoyed presenting guest lectures at numerous colleges and universities. I have been able to continue singing locally as a soloist and in choirs and hope to do so for years!
